Everything on Lewis Hamilton’s Recent Ferrari Entry
With the new season less than two months away, Lewis Hamilton has been getting settled into what seems to be his new home for the foreseeable future. Although the shock transfer announcement happened almost a year ago, the new photos just released by both the Scuderia and the Britain have broken the internet.
It all began with Scuderia Ferrari and Hamilton’s joint Instagram post of the seven-time World Champion posing alongside a Ferrari F50 in front of the iconic Enzo Ferrari House at the Scuderia Ferrari headquarters in Maranello. The post, which currently has over 5.4 million likes, was the first of many recording Hamilton’s start of his new journey with the Italian team.
The post had several fans speculating about an eighth title for the Britain, noticing that the house in the picture had seven open windows, symbolizing his seven titles, and the door to the house, symbolizing that Ferrari may be the gate to his record-breaking eighth world championship.

This internet-breaking post was soon followed by several more photos posted on Ferrari’s Instagram documenting the Britain’s opening journey, meeting team personnel and being shown around the base of the Scuderia. Most notably, Ferrari followed up these posts with a photo showcasing Hamilton in his Ferrari threads for the first time. On Hamilton’s Instagram, he revealed his helmet for the 2025 season, featuring a familiar bright yellow with red accents reminiscent of the world champion’s helmet from his earlier days in the sport.
Hamilton first debuted with McLaren-Mercedes with a yellow helmet, albeit slightly darker than his current one. Sometime after joining Mercedes, he shifted to a purple based color scheme, which first featured a black accent which he later switched out for a fluorescent yellow.
Some speculate that the darker red on his new helmet give a clue to how the 2025 Ferrari F1 livery will look like with many suggesting that it will be a much darker red than before. Hamilton had a huge part in Mercedes-AMG incorporating black into their livery starting from the 2020 season, where it has stayed with the car ever since.
Hamilton shortly took to the track to test drive his first Ferrari F1 car, driving the 2023 SF-23 car around the Scuderia’s Fiorano testing circuit. He completed 30 total laps on the track, and had a multitude of positive comments to make.
“When I started the car up and drove through that garage door, I had the biggest smile on my face.”
“It reminded me of the very first time I tested a Formula 1 car. It was such an exciting and special moment, and here I am, almost 20 years later, feeling those emotions all over again.”
“I already knew from the outside how passionate the Ferrari family is, from everyone in the team to the Tifosi.”
"But to now witness it first hand as a Ferrari driver has been awe-inspiring. That passion runs through their veins and you can't help but be energised by it.”
The next time Hamilton will be on track in a Ferrari F1 car will be part of the Formula 1 official testing in Barcelona on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, albeit this time in the official car that will run in the upcoming 2025 season. The first day of testing will take place shortly before the F1-75 event at the O2 arena on the 18th of February, Formula 1’s first-ever season launch event where all 20 teams will reveal their liveries and race suits.
